Spatial Data Summit – Oct 2, 2018

[Geomatics Yukon] would like to invite you to the 3rd Canadian Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) Summit. Co-hosted by the Canadian Council on Geomatics and the Open Geospatial Consortium, this event will explore the latest developments in Canada’s geospatial data infrastructures.

This Summit will be a great opportunity to connect with representatives from all levels of government, academic institutions, companies and other organizations making up Canada’s geospatial community.

This event has been running annually across the country in conjunction with the Canadian Council of Geomatics meetings, and has run in Alberta and BC.  We are lucky to have this event offered in Whitehorse.  This is a free event.

Planned themes of discussion include ‘the State of Canadian SDIs’, ‘SDIs in Indigenous Communities’, ‘Climate Change and Disaster Management’. Knowledge sharing discussions will inform strategic directions of the Canadian Council on Geomatics, the OGC and participating organizations.

Proceedings will commence with an evening event – sponsored by ESRI Canada – on October 1.
