Fetching placenames from Canada Geographic Names Board
How to fetch list of all lakes with registered names from the Canada Geographic Names Board.
Interactively
http://www4.rncan.gc.ca/search-place-names/search
- Select “Water Features”, Yukon, and order by “Feature Type”
- Leave “Geographical Name” field empty and hit [Submit]
- On resultant page click “Feature Type” column heading so all Lakes are grouped together.
- Results says “1 of 100” but that means “on this page”. Tapping next will fetch more (640 total).
